With a degree in Public Relations & Journalism from Campbellsville University, Gary brings a diverse skillset to the table, having spent time in the festival and events industry, as well as corporate America. He spent several years leading digital strategy and activation for the Kentucky Derby Festival, as well as managing the non-profit’s media relations and community engagement. That was followed by a stint leading internal communications and human resource activations for Louisville-based Humana, Inc. He is actively involved with several non-profits including the Kentucky Derby Festival Foundation, Friends of the Louisville Zoo, and the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
